Library Sign Posting Policy

This policy is consistent with the College’s overall sign posting policy developed by the Committee on Campus Life:

All specifications from the College’s overall sign posting policy pertain in the Libraries.

•        Posting of signs on the bulletin board in the main entryway are permitted, subject to the College’s sign posting policy.
•        With the exception of the main entryway bulletin board, posting of signs on walls, doors, glass, and columns inside or on the exterior of the building are prohibited and will be removed. Signs/leaflets left on library tables will likewise be removed.

Exception: The communications of Sexual Health Peer Educators and Earlham College Counseling/Health Services.

In accordance with the Earlham Campus Posting Guidelines, the content of all writings and drawings on library whiteboards should be consistent with the nature and spirit of Earlham College Principles and Practices. In order to keep the library a welcoming environment for all of our patrons, librarians and library staff may erase writing and drawings from whiteboards if they are found to be in violation of the above. The white boards are cleaned periodically, so please take a photo of anything you would like to keep for your personal record.
