Ten PC laptop computers and accessories (power cords and PC adapters) are available for use in Lilly Library. All items circulate for 4 hours, and MAY NOT leave the library. Each item must be checked out separately at the circulation desk, and patrons must leave their campus ID at the circulation desk until the items are returned. These items must be returned directly to a student worker at the circulation desk. In order to check out laptops and accessories, users must sign a Lilly Library Laptop Computer Agreement. This form provides a detailed outline of the policies regarding laptop use and may be printed from the box at the left side of this page or picked up at the Lilly Library circulation desk.
Computers may be checked out by any current Earlham student, staff, or faculty member.
The computers are available on a first come, first served basis, and occasionally may be reserved by faculty for instruction in the Library.
If no one is waiting to use a computer, the loan period may be renewed for an additional 4 hours.
All computers have the same set of software that is installed on general PC lab computers, including web browsers, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Acrobat, Photoshop Elements, Dreamweaver.

There are 58 MAC computers available for check out in the Science and Technology Commons (STC). Faculty often reserve these computers for classroom use. Reservations must be made through 25Live. A limited number of power cords are also available for circulation.
The computers and power cords circulate for 6 hours, and are available to all Earlham Students, Faculty, and Staff. Computers are limited to use in the Science Complex only. Users must fill out the appropriate Laptop Agreement Form in order to check out a computer.

At this time, no department on campus provides long-term laptop loans.
