Welcome to Earlham Libraries: We serve Earlham School of Religion and Bethany Theological Seminary
This guide links (see tabs above) to information of particular relevance to ESR and Bethany students and faculty. Feel free, however, to use any resource or service you find on the Earlham Libraries website.
...You can schedule a reference appointment to speak with a librarian via Zoom? Use these options to get assistance with research or to get help with your library questions. You still have in-person reference appointment options, or feel free to email a librarian.
...You can do Scripture searching in the ATLA database? Just go to the ATLA database, and click on "Subjects" (lower half of page), then choose "ATLA Scripture Search" from the dropdown menu. Then search by book, chapter, or even verse of the Bible.

Borrow Books from other ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Libraries
If you happen to live near any of the 90+ participating seminaries, ESR and Bethany have reciprocal borrowing agreements with their libraries. This means you can go to any of these 90+ seminary libraries and borrow items directly from them. Be in touch with the librarian at that institution and identify yourself as attending an "ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing" seminary. You will be given privileges to borrow print items.
Read more about the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program.
