Searching for information

Start looking for information once your organism/group has been approved by your instructor. Information search for your website starts Mar 01 and ends the day you present your  website. However, for the Website Lab (March) complete the worksheet at the end of this box and make sure you have a Google account created. The information on the worksheet is the MINIMUM that you will be required to bring for the full WebLab class [Please check due dates for your respective lab.]

Instructions

  1. Download a copy of the document "Compilation of Information worksheet" (see below) and fill it out electronically
  2. Look at the “Resources” tab to get started in finding information on your group/species
  3. Create as much text as possible in order to begin creating your page in lab. Remember, the information you are collecting has to be paraphrased, synthesized, scientifically sound,  and referenced appropriately.
  4. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO AN ELECTRONIC COPY OF YOUR COMPLETED WORKSHEET for LAB.
  5. Make sure you keep track of your sources.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that you are not plagiarizing by copying and pasting information directly to your document with appropriate citations.
