Lilly Library provides Faculty, Students and Library Patrons with access to the following:

Lilly Library Reference Lab:

This lab is located on the main floor of Lilly Library near the reference area. Its primary use is for conducting research using in house Library resources, internet resources, and a large collection of Electronic Databases and Journals. It is also used by Reference Librarians for training students in the use of available resources. Computers in this lab include the same software as all other lab computers on campus. This lab is frequently reserved for instruction. Reservations are posted daily at the lab entrance as a service to walk-in users. Circulating Laptops:

Wireless laptops are available for use within the Lilly Library and can be checked out from the Library Circulation Desk. These machines may be signed out for up to four hours at a time and are for in-library use only. These laptops contain the same software available on public lab machines. Lilly Library 24-Hour Computing Lab:

Located in the basement of Lilly Library, this lab contains 12 PCs and 4 Macs. Lab set up includes a white board, scanner, projector, and printers. Additional tables and chairs are provided for group work and study space. This lab is occasionally used for instruction purposes during the day. Access to the lab when the library is closed is through the South entrance by using your Earlham ID. This entrance is not for public use when the library is open.

Public Computers:

Lilly Library provides a limited number of computers for use by visitors to the library. These computers are located on the main floor of the library and use is restricted to Web based services, e.g., library catalog, Web-based e-mail, library databases. Please see Circulation Desk staff for further information about community member access to library materials.

Meeting Rooms:

There are 5 meeting rooms available for faculty, students, and the public, by reservation. If not reserved they are used on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are posted daily at each room as a service to walk-in users. The rooms are:

• Room 215 (capacity of 6)
• Room 232 (capacity of 10)
• Room 304 (capacity of 15)
• Room 317 (capacity of 6)
• Room 328 (capacity of 10)

Faculty and Student Carrels:

Student Carrels are available on a first come, first served basis. Please call 765.983.1287 or inquire at the Lilly Library Circulation Desk for availability and keys.

Instructional Technology and Media (ITAM):

ITAM has the bulk of Earlham's multimedia collections available for circulation. The collection contains over 5,000 cataloged videotapes, DVDs, laserdiscs and focuses on foreign language feature films, feature films, documentaries and other programs of that support the curriculum. The audio collection includes CDs, and phono recordings. ITAM has carrels for individual viewing/listening and a 10 computer multimedia production lab. Classroom support as well as support of public events, (convocation speakers, performances, and athletic events) is also provided by ITAM.

Multimedia Lab:

ITAM provides equipment for editing both audio and video in both analog and digital formats as well as working with Photoshop and other graphics programs. Use of the equipment is on a scheduled basis and not always available at walk-in. Please consult with the Circulation Desk in ITAM for information and to schedule use of the lab equipment.
